In fact I'm almost certain they are doing it considering how low the speed is regardless of how long the file has been on the server.Į: Eweka sucks. I suspect that Newsgroup Ninja may be throttling my download speed due to too much bandwidth use, anyone know if that's a thing? Tfw you're peeing next to someone in the lineup and they don't know depending on whatever sales are going on at any given time from others frugal might be a couple bucks more but you still end up ahead anyways. Yea i dont think people realize how good a deal frugal is with the multi-backbone (the newshosting / ninja backbone plus Usenetfarm). That's what I did to cover a couple month gap last time (ended up sticking with Frugal) Is your experience any different? If it is, then clearly I'm doing something wrong here.Throwing out the option of switching the Frugal's $5/month until picking a permanent landing place at BF. I guess my question is, specifically, how old is too old for highly popular TV series and movies on Usenet these days? Are we talking 1 week? 1 month? Because that's what it seems like for me. In fact, I could download almost any popular TV show within the retention limit of the providers and it completed. I realize some of these providers are redundant based on the provider map, but I've literally thrown everything and the kitchen sink at trying to make my Usenet experience similar to how it was a few years ago when I was only using Astra and one block account to download releases that were a few months old and completed with no problems. My providers are AstraWeb/SuperNews/Usenet.farm/CheapNews/NewsDemon/TweakNews/UsenetBucket. My index is NZBGeek and I also tested public indexers. The only releases that completed were posted in the past 7 days. After this, I moved on to test some movies and other random releases that were posted within the past 3 months and the result was too many missing articles. Only a few of them reached around 15% completion. I tried other releases of the same series, including obfuscated posts, and all of the articles were missing. When I go to download any of them, I get 0% completion across the board. The episodes were posted over the span of 1-5 months ago. I'm trying to download a previous season from two popular TV shows (probably the most popular). I'm glad the op posted this question, because the answers regarding post age in the FAQ and on this board have been very vague. I'm not new to Usenet, but I just started using it again after a few years. I'm thinking this is due to DMCA, but is this really normal? As a new Usenet user, I fail to see how it can be so popular when most of what I want isn't available. These are all the same show, but I've tried others too with similar results. I've got 3 premium Usenet providers currently. I'm trying to download TV shows and I get a lot of stalled downloads due to missing articles, which are then aborted by SABnzbd (as I've ordered it to do) and subsequently blacklisted by Sonarr. I'm new at Usenet so I hope you can help me.
